In 1982, Bob opened the first Bob’s Burgers and Brew in Lynden, Washington, with a vision of featuring gourmet burgers and American classics in a family-friendly atmosphere. His hands-on approach and dedication to customer satisfaction became the cornerstone of the restaurant’s success. Regular customers became friends, and his commitment to using quality ingredients and providing exceptional service quickly established the restaurant as a local favorite.

Building on the success of the Lynden location, Bob began opening several new locations in the Pacific Northwest in the late 1980s and 1990s. His approach to expansion was careful and deliberate, focusing on maintaining the quality and service that had made the original restaurant a success. The chain began offering franchising opportunities, leading to more locations across Washington State. Each new restaurant carried forward Bob’s legacy of quality, service, and community involvement.

Bob Kildall’s journey came to an end with his passing in 2022. However, his principles of quality, service, and community continue to influence and shape our brand.
